As written in its February 4th press release, the Affordable Art Fair NYC, a global brand that has disrupted the industry with its accessible approach to the contemporary art market, announced its return to the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea, next month. Beginning March 26th and running through March 29th, 72 local, national and international galleries will exhibit an eclectic array of original paintings, sculptures, photographs and prints from more than 400 emerging, mid- career and established artists.
Founded in 1999 in London, the global art fair will celebrate its 29th edition in the Big Apple in March, showcasing a carefully curated collection of contemporary art ranging from $100 to $10,000, with more than half of the works priced under $5,000.
Doors will open on the evening of Wednesday, March 25th for Affordable Art Fair NYC’s signature Private View, where patrons can mingle in a buzzing, friendly atmosphere while perusing two floors brimming with art.
As the week unfolds, visitors will experience educational talks, contemporary dance, upbeat evening events, networking opportunities for business insiders as well as family-friendly weekend programming, all with the single goal to inspire more people to buy art.
Always aiming to present fair-goers with a fresh experience, this year’s 72 exhibitors will be comprised of 12 new galleries, such as Stella Ripley from Quebec City, Canada and Q Gallery from Baku, Azerbaijan, as well as 60 returning galleries.
Yo, see you all there!
