This fabulously talented and great-spirited photographer that I first met at an Affordable Art Fair in NYC some years ago has started a new project and is looking for subjects. All that is required is that you email him.
Barry Cawston is tremendously talented in his chosen medium. His latest endeavor, Portraits of Isolation, provides a look into the private and isolated world of its subjects as they cope and try to survive the current COVID19 pandemic. These portraits are taken during lockdown over the internet via FaceTime, Whatsapp, or Zoom, and build a picture of life in isolation during this unprecedented time.
Barry also took my photograph which you can see here. The painting containing the skull is a piece by a Dutch artist who has paintings in a museum in Amersfoort, The Netherlands.
Barry has won several prestigious awards including T.I.N.A International art prize as well as the South West Art Award and has had solo shows in France, Russia, Sweden, & Belgium, to name only a few. He has also exhibited in New York and Toronto.
You can see more of Barry's work on Instagram and on his website.
